Fire At One Of Russia’s Largest Electrical Engineering Enterprises Near Moscow

The workshop where products are tested was on fire.

In Russia, the morning of October 30 began with a new fire. It broke out on the territory of the Elektroizolit plant in the Moscow region, writes Obozrevatel.

This enterprise is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical insulating materials in the Russian Federation.

Reports of a fire at one of the largest enterprises in the electrical engineering industry in the Russian Federation began on the morning of October 30.

“A fire broke out in the Moscow region on the territory of a research institute. According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out on the territory of the Central Research Institute of Special Mechanical Engineering in Khotkovo. Local chats report that the workshop where products are tested is on fire,” one of the Russian publications wrote.

While more and more footage from the scene appeared online, local authorities were thinking about what cause of the fire to announce as the official version.

In the end, it was decided to write it all off as a “fire in the insulation”: this is the cause of the fire named by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At the same time, considering that the workshop where the products are tested was on fire, it is possible that another test did not go according to plan.

It was officially stated that the fire covered 100 square meters of area, and, according to propagandists, it was extinguished. Also, according to statements from the Russian Federation, no one was hurt as a result of the fire.

It is known that the Elektroizolit plant is a leading Russian enterprise in the field of design and production of structures from modern polymer composite materials for rocket and space technology, transport, energy, petrochemical engineering and other industries.
