Interior Ministry Announces Blocking Of Roads Across Belarus

The Interior Ministry of Belarus announced that it would hold command-staff exercises across the country from November 19 to 22. They will be held under the leadership of the department head Ivan Kubrakou ‘with the participation of subjects of the state response system.’
The Interior Ministry explained that during the exercise, the activities will be both theoretical and practical. And the training will be held in Minsk, regional and district centres.
‘During the exercise, law enforcers will demonstrate readiness for rapid response to possible complications in the country during the election campaign. The purpose of the introductory tasks is to prevent manifestations of extremism and terrorism, involvement of citizens in unlawful actions, suppression of violations of public order,’ the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry warned of possible street blocking and ‘use of pyrotechnics’.
