Protesters Storming Capital Of Pakistan While Lukashenka Is There

Clashes with security forces are ongoing.

Supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan entered Pakistan's capital Islamabad despite police cordons on November 26, TRT World reports.

Authorities declared a state of emergency after the former Pakistani prime minister called for a march on the country's parliament and a sit-in to demand his release from prison. Entrances to the capital are currently blocked.

The capital has been closed since Saturday evening, mobile internet is disconnected, and more than 20,000 police officers have flooded the streets, many of them armed with shields and batons.

It is reported that on the morning of November 26, police used rubber bullets and tear gas against protesters.

The march, organized at the call of Imaran Khan, was led by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Ali Amin Gandapur, who is one of the key associates of this politician. The third wife of the imprisoned politician Bushra Bibi is also taking part in the march.

It is important to note that Lukashenka is visiting the capital of Pakistan.
