The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to destroy a number of "fat" targets.
In November, the Russian occupation army set a record for manpower losses — “cargo 200”. As military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko notes, in November, the Russian occupiers significantly intensified their assault operations, which led to record enemy losses, both in the infantry and mechanized components.
“In November, the Russian occupying forces set an absolute record for personnel losses — 45,720,” Kovalenko claims.
He assumes that by the end of 12 months, the losses in manpower of the Russian army will exceed this total figure for 2022-2023. The analyst explains that this follows from the objective indicators of Russian occupying forces’ losses in 2022 — 92,920 soldiers, in 2023 — 253,290, and for 11 months of the current year — 382,120.
Also, according to the expert, in November the occupiers lost 307 tanks in the war with Ukraine, which indicates the economy of this type of equipment and their extremely limited use.
“In turn, this confirms the problems with the supply of tanks to the front and the monthly compensation for their losses against the background of the depletion of warehouses and arsenals for storing Soviet equipment,” Kovalenko claims.
According to him, in November the Russian occupying forces lost 899 armored combat vehicles — the second indicator of losses of armored fighting vehicles for the entire period of a full-scale war. The absolute record in this category was set by the Russian occupying forces in October — 923.
“For two months in a row, the army of the aggressor country has suffered colossal losses of armored fighting vehicles, which is due to the excessive activity of the occupation forces in a number of areas, an attempt to force events as much as possible, which forces the use of mechanized assault tactics,” the analyst emphasizes.
He also notes that the enemy has lost 884 units of barrel artillery, 44 special equipment and 9 multiple launch rocket systems — a record low figure for the entire period of a full-scale invasion.
“And this is because we have become worse at destroying these installations, no. The reason is that MLRS are becoming an increasingly rare type of artillery for the Russian occupiers — they are increasingly being replaced not by standard systems, but by makeshift “homunculi,” Kovalenko is sure.
According to him, in November, the Russian air defense lost 25 systems. This is an average figure, if we do not take into account that last month the Defense Forces managed to destroy such “fat” targets as the 48Ya6-K1 “Podlet” radar for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems.
“The traditional record for losses of motor vehicles is 2,469. The traditionality lies in the fact that Russia’s shortage of tanks, armored fighting vehicles and armored cars leads to the use of non-specialized civilian vehicles. Moreover, it is used not just along the line of combat, but during assaults and mechanized rolls,” the observer notes.
The expert assumes that the command of the occupiers is trying to implement a number of tasks by the end of the year related to both the capture of Ukrainian territories and the preparation of conditions for further offensive actions. At the same time, he notes the deterioration of the enemy's troops' supplies against the background of significant activity of the aggressor at the front.
“Obviously, such high loss rates will remain at least until the inauguration of Donald Trump. “At a minimum” also means that after the inauguration, Putin will try to demonstrate his strength to Trump through intensive military actions, simulating unlimited possibilities and endless resources. But this is not the case, and this is already evident from a number of categories of Russian occupying troops’ losses in November. In the long term, this promises a reduction in the pace and scale of offensive operations for Russian troops — whether they want it or not,” the analyst is sure.
