Minsk Schools Preparing To Ban Use Of Mobile Phones During Breaks

Messages from teachers have started coming into students' chats.

The administrations of some of the capital's schools have begun to prepare class teachers for the fact that from the fourth quarter, students will be prohibited from using mobile phones during breaks.

Several sources of Euroradio reported that corresponding messages from teachers have started coming into students' chats. In one of the schools, the administration is thinking about how to implement the confiscation of smartphones at the entrance to the educational institution.

Back in 2022, a new State School Standard came into force, which regulated the use of mobile phones. It prescribed a ban on the use of devices during lessons without the teacher's permission.

The use of phones is also limited during breaks so that children can rest, move and communicate more. However, if necessary, to contact parents, the use of phones during breaks is still allowed.
