The AFU colonel has reported about the critical situation of the main occupants' column.
The army of the aggressor country Russia is trying to encircle Pokrovsk in Donetsk region. However, there are no grounds to talk about the half encirclement of this town yet. Military expert, colonel of the AFU reserve, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan stated this, reports Channel 24.
According to him, there is a half encirclement in the Pokrovsk direction, but not the Ukrainian army was in it.
‘The main column of the Russians, which is trying to make its way from the village of Shevchenko to Udachne, which is south of Pokrovsk, got half encircled,’ he stressed.
Svitan emphasised that the Russian occupiers themselves got into a half encirclement. This is because there is our Pokrovsk grouping in the north, a grouping coming from Udachne in the west, and a grouping of Ukrainian defenders in the south.
In his opinion, if now at least one of our brigades comes from the south to hit the Russians, and our Pokrovsk units work from the north at this moment - then there will be a complete encirclement of the Russian grouping, which is heading from the village of Shevchenko towards Udachne.
The expert also reminded that there are two roads leading to Pokrovsk now: the main road from the west from Pavlograd and from the north from Dobropille, which is not threatened at all now. That is, there is a supply of our Pokrovsk grouping from 2 serious directions.
‘Nothing is threatening Pokrovsk so far from the point of view of encirclement. It is the Russians who have problems,’ Svitan stated.
In addition, he believes that we can talk about some kind of half encirclement in Pokrovsk only in one case: if the Russians come from Mirnegrad, start to bypass it in the north and come out on the route from Dobropille to Pokrovsk and at the same time push our garrison out of Udachne and come out on the route from Pavlograd to Pokrovsk.
