Ukrainian Anti-Aircraft Gunners Shoot Down Russia’s Rare Experimental Reconnaissance Drone

Anti-aircraft gunners and pilots of the 63rd Brigade shot down the Russian experimental reconnaissance drone Merlin-VR.

The corresponding video was published by the Khortytsia operational-strategic group on Telegram.

“Anti-aircraft gunners and pilots of the 63rd Brigade shot down a rare bird — the Russian experimental reconnaissance drone Merlin-VR,” the report says.

It is noted that the drone is capable of rising to 5 kilometers in the sky and spending 10 hours there, which is several times longer than Supercam and ZALA.

According to the military, two FPV crews were hunting for this drone at once, and the one that did not manage to destroy it filmed the moment of the explosion and the scattering of debris in the sky.
