Former SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) Deputy Chair Major General Viktor Yahun said, writes Glavred.
He recalled that at one time it was the beginning of pogroms, in particular Jewish ones, that preceded the split of the Russian Empire.
"And now, when 10-15 guys walk around a Russian city with an imperial flag and try to find gypsies or Tatars, they do not think that in their city a hundred Tatars can easily come out and look for these ten "Russian guys," Yahun noted.
According to him, ethnic and economic problems together can create very serious problems for Russia.
"We saw this in the example of the Afghan war and the problems in the USSR economy. But no one will do anything, everyone is just watching. It's true, it's painful for us: while we watch, our people are dying," Yahun said.
