Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address announced tough measures against all those who betray the country at such a difficult time.
He stressed that traitors who adjust Russian fire on Ukrainian cities, work for Russian propaganda or receive money from Moscow must be prepared for retribution.
"We are taking measures against traitors and all kinds of fraud that weaken our state and our Ukrainian society," Zelensky said.
"And anyone who takes the path against Ukraine, against the law in Ukraine, must remember that there will be a response."
Ukrainian special services also searched the home of TV presenter Max Nazarov, who is suspected of justifying Russian aggression. According to representatives of the SBU, he could act in the interests of Moscow, discrediting Ukraine and its defenders.
During the day, the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) and the Prosecutor General's Office published numerous reports about the detention of people suspected of collaborating with Russia.
The head of a department at a state bank was arrested in Kyiv. According to the SBU, he transferred money for the needs of the Russian army. A Russian passport was also found on the detainee.
A spy network was uncovered in Kharkiv that transmitted data on military bases and routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Russian intelligence. This data was used to launch missile and drone strikes.
A company was identified in the Dnipropetrovsk region that allegedly helped Russia develop a laboratory for creating nuclear weapons. The suspect is the owner of a Ukrainian company producing construction materials.
Zelensky praised the work of law enforcement agencies, noting that they show excellent results in identifying traitors and agents. He assured that the fight against enemies within the country will continue without mercy. "Those who decide to work against Ukraine must understand: retribution is inevitable," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
