Currently, three groups of State Emergency Service climbers are partially opening the shelter structures and extinguishing the smoldering roof insulation. Drones with a thermal imager are constantly monitoring the situation and the air quality above the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Radiation near the plant currently does not exceed permissible levels. The Ministry of Internal Affairs called the situation completely under control.
