Trump Makes Statement On Russian Federation-U.S. Meeting In Saudi Arabia

US President Donald Trump has issued a statement following a meeting between Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia. According to him, Russia ‘showed itself well’.

‘Russia has shown itself very well. She wants to stop this savagery that is happening there. Its soldiers are dying by the thousands every week - it's not American soldiers, it's Russian soldiers and Ukrainian soldiers, Korean soldiers as well - a significant number of them have died,’ Trump said.

He called the war pointless and once again reminded that it would not have happened under his presidency.

‘I see pictures from the battlefield - it's like Gettysburg (the battle of Gettysburg - the largest battle of the US Civil War - ed.), there are dead bodies everywhere. These are the losses of thousands of soldiers. Soon you will see the full numbers, you will be amazed at how many people have died, more than you think,’ the US president said.
