A participant of the protests of 2020, a 25-year-old resident of the capital, who works as a manager in a private company, was tried at the ‘Slodych’ confectionery factory in Minsk. A mobile hearing of the Savetski district court was held there. It was attended by the employees of the company, writes ERORADIO.
The Minsk resident was accused of participating in a street rally on 30 August 2020, in the ‘deliberate blocking of public transport’ on Independence Avenue and Lenin Street. The protester said that she had joined a group of protesters that day, picked up a poster from the ground and carried it in her hands.
The woman was found guilty under the article of ‘Organisation and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them’ (part 1 of article 342 of the Criminal Code). She was sentenced to serving 2 years and 6 months at the place of her residence.
