Putin's Confessor Prophecies Russian Federation’s Collapse

And demands the Russians to take Constantinople from Turkey.

Metropolitan of Simferopol and the Crimea of the Russian Orthodox Church Tikhon Shevkunov, who is considered the confessor of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, unexpectedly made territorial claims to a NATO country — Turkey, writes «Диалог.UA».

Shevkunov is considered the most influential cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church and one of the main candidates for the post of the new patriarch. He is very close to Putin and, as it turned out, shares his views on the West and NATO.

Shevkunov unexpectedly criticized the attempt of the Russian authorities to negotiate with the United States regarding Ukraine. According to the metropolitan, this will lead the country to a repeat of 1917, when the Russian Empire collapsed.

He spoke harshly about the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, and also spoke in favor of the annexation of Turkish Constantinople.

“Many of our people of power cheered up after meeting with the Americans. But all the great Orthodox empires — Byzantium and Tsarist Russia — fell because of the machinations of the Latins, the West. God saved Russia for us, raised it from its knees not so that we would bow to the West again. But I see that many already want to be deceived, and we are threatened with a split in the elite, like in 1917... While America tempts us, the son of Satan Zelensky is weaving his intrigues in Turkey, where sacred Constantinople is. Isn't this Satan's mockery? But we will not let him celebrate his victory. And I believe that Constantinople will return to its native harbor, just like the Crimea,” Shevkunov said.

It is believed that Shevkunov is not only close to Putin, but also influences the views and some decisions of the dictator. They met in the late 1990s, and since then they have maintained close relations. Some sources claim that they were introduced by businessman Sergei Pugachev.
