The soldiers of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed all units of the North Korean troops that were in the brigade's area of responsibility in the Kursk direction. This was stated in a commentary to Espreso by Senior Sergeant of the Communications Department of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade Petro Haidaschuk.
“Even under artillery fire and drones, the North Koreans continued to move in our direction. However, despite their training, all these units were destroyed, and at the moment they are not in the area of responsibility of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade,” Haidaschuk said.
He explained that the DPRK soldiers are already well oriented on the terrain, mostly did not use equipment, and also moved on foot over long distances of up to 15 kilometers.
According to Haidaschuk, the Russians are currently using the tactics of small assault groups, since large human waves of infantry with armored vehicles are ineffective in a modern war of unmanned systems.
“The enemy uses artillery, reconnaissance and attack drones, as well as FPV drones on fiber optics, which creates certain problems that we are successfully combating. Guided aerial bombs mainly fall on populated areas of the Kursk region, which are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this way, Russian troops are trying to displace us from our positions, despite the fact that these villages are inhabited by civilians of the Russian Federation,” Haidaschuk emphasized.
