Drones Launch Largest Attack on Crimea In Recent Times

Explosions are heard on the occupied peninsula.

Explosions were heard in different parts of the temporarily occupied peninsula: it was loud in Kerch, near the Saky military airfield, in Dzhankoy and near Sevastopol. It is reported that traffic is blocked on the Crimean Bridge.

Strike drones flew through Dzhankoy and moved in the direction of the village of Krasnoarmeyskoye, planes took off from the Belbek military airfield, air defense was actively working: so at night Ukrainian drones attacked the Crimean Peninsula. Explosions were recorded in different parts of the occupied Crimea, and local Telegram channels called the Ukrainian night attack on the peninsula "the most massive in recent times."

The "governor" of the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, commented at about 23:00 on February 25 on the explosions that were heard near the city. According to him, the locals heard the sounds of air defence, which allegedly shot down attack drones over the Black Sea.

"The loud sounds that were heard were the air defense systems on duty, which intercepted and destroyed 4 UAVs over the Black Sea at an altitude of almost 1.5 kilometers at a considerable distance from the coast," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also added that "everything is under control", and the residents of Sevastopol urged "to keep calm", as the drone attack continued.

Around the same time, local channels reported explosions near the Belbek airfield. Air defence was active there.

Residents of the occupied peninsula also heard explosions near Kerch, approximately near the village of Bondarenkovo. The air defence system was also active there.

It was also loud near the Saki airfield, which Russia uses for its military purposes. Explosions were heard near the airport, the locals heard shooting in large caliber. The video, on which the work of the Russian air defence is heard, was distributed by local channels.

There is no information about the consequences of the attack of Ukrainian drones. It is reported that the Russians blocked the Crimean Bridge because of the attack. The Russian military reports massive drone launches in the direction of Crimea from the Odesa region.
