What happened?

In Astravets, near which the Belarusian NPP is located, doctors have begun to give out emergency kits to local residents. They include a single daily dose of stable iodine, personal protective equipment, writes Astravetskaya Pravda.

Emergency kits are given out apartment by apartment, upon signature, based on the number of family members.

It is reported that this is a preventive measure. It is based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the international organization IAEA.
