In the Altai Krai of the Russian Federation, in the village of Zavyalovo, the head of the Zavyalovsky district was killed. He was shot dead at the exit of a cafe on the afternoon of March 4, the Investigative Committee reports. The agency does not name the victim; on the website of the regional government, Nikolai Onishchenko is listed as the head of the district administration.
“A local resident was detained by police officers on suspicion of committing the crime. An investigative task force is working at the scene,” the Investigative Committee reported.
According to Baza and Mash, the suspect in the murder is Onishchenko’s former subordinate, 45-year-old Anatoly Fenin, who attempted to commit suicide during the arrest.
A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
The Zavyalovsky district is located in the west of the region, its population is 16 thousand people. The village of Zavyalovo is located 250 kilometers from Barnaul.
