Situation Improves for Ukraine: Ukrainian Forces Push Back Russians Near Kupiansk

The occupiers retreated in one area, while in two others they were defeated.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces pushed the Russian Armed Forces north from the village of Zapadne. This was reported on March 5 by DeepState.

“Despite the continued pressure on the bridgeheads formed by the Russians, the Defenсe Forces are trying to stabilize the situation in this area,” the analysts noted.

The Russian occupiers have not abandoned hopes of capturing the village of Figolovka, the outskirts of which they have already reached. The enemy is also constantly pressing on the village of Dvorichna.

In addition, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to achieve success in the areas of the villages of Kondrashovka and Golubivka. However, the search for an opportunity to advance has only resulted in failures for Russia.

“Recently, the situation in this area has been improving, in particular, due to changes in the organizational structure. We hope that this stabilization will have positive dynamics in the future,” DeepState added.

The morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that three enemy attacks were recorded in the Kupyansk direction during the day.

“The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of Petropavlivka, Peschane and Bohuslavka,” the command specified.
