There were violations in the autopsy reports of the victims of the plane crash near Smolensk.
The investigative group of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland, which is handling the proceedings related to the crash of the Tu-154 with the Polish delegation headed by President Lech Kaczyński near Smolensk in 2010, intends to file a motion to put 43 Russian forensic experts on wanted lists. This was stated to PAP by the head of the group, prosecutor Krzysztof Szwarc.
According to him, the decision is related to the fact that the autopsy reports of the bodies of the crash victims by Russian forensic experts “contained a lot of false information”, in particular, they included descriptions of organs and injuries, as well as work performed that did not actually occur, while there were no descriptions of identification features and injuries of some of the victims.
In total, Polish investigators found “serious violations” in more than 60 autopsies, Szwarc claims. “It is unclear whether these protocols were written intentionally untruthfully or out of laziness or incompetence. Of course, these protocols were created carelessly,” he noted.
